126 books off the TBR . . .

10 - 90 minute quickie reads
Artificial Love (Artificial Love Stories #1)
by Erica Conroy, 4/5 stars
I felt cheated by the end.  There was enough here to make a real novella at the minimum. AL, a sex bot with artificial intelligence, has found love, but she ha no idea.  For her the unthinkable happens to her as she is performing her job.  She will not return and thinking of AL's loss has me a bit mift.

Christmas in Venice: A Short Story
by Meadow Taylor, 5/5 stars
Here yet is another mini (quickie) that could do much better as a real novella instead. Olivia has her first trip to Italy and it is not what she dreamed of.  Before she arrives on ground good she is singled out for an act unthinkable in an airport.

A Very Holly Christmas by Sheila Roberts, 2/5 stars
I found this to be a major disappointment. I felt as if I was thrown in the deep end and told to swim without the benefit of a lesson. Things just did not make sense to me.

Abandoned by Vanessa Finaughty, 4/5 stars
The things that mind can conjure up when you know your thought and deeds are of ill repute.

All Day, All Night Marianne by Richard Daybell, 3/5 stars
This is most certainly from another world for me.  The multi-lyrics and strange Shakespeare's references, but catching.

Catering by Jessica Freely, 3/5 stars
M/M it was okay for what it was. Extremely short and not so to the point. Its good to know that Stan and Gus learned early to stick together.

Breaking Waves (Summer Passions Series)
by Jennifer Andrews, 5/5 stars
Best friends opposite sex can make a life more intriguing. This is typical best friends since childhood and he has been in love with her for years or vice versa.  There is a story here that could be developed into something more.

A Love Story: Of the Earth and the Moon
by Austin Torney, 4/5 stars
If you looking for uplifting love inspired quotes, poems, thoughts, this would be the place to go.  Its a collection of all the sort.  It also have pics.

Autumn Leaves by Phil Dumas, 4/5 stars
Inspiring love story with a not so happy ending.  This is heartfelt to the end.  There are feelings behind the words.  Read with your heart open.

Binding Heart: The Master (BDSM Billionaire)
by Lucia Jordan, 3/5 stars
I found no plot and was wondering WTF she was doing there. She need a serious head examination. She needed to run, hide and get the f*#$ away from that house.. This may be fun to finish just to see the out come.

What Love Tastes Like  What Love Tastes Like by Zuri Day
Sexy. Sassy. Saucy.

Nic and Tiffany meet by coincident and much needed on both sides. They book experience a date that is a thing of beauty and the beginnings of a night to remember. Nic and Tiffany were more alike than Tiffany was willing to acknowledge on the surface. It took a lot for her to see it and believe.

Keith wised up and Angelica got her just deserts and Stan got the much deserved boot in the right place.

Day has a well developed story her and made as real as it can be.  I could just see a woman in a male dominated industry being single minded to be the best.

Now, we finally get the Harlequin's story and the true story behind the ghost of St Giles. Another story we get is Winter's. He has a secret that could change everything. Not just himself but all around him.

Lady Isabel Beckinhall enjoys nothing more than a challenge and she finds that and more in the Ghost of St Giles. The man that annoys her reminds her a lot of the encounter she had with the ghost. As things get pieced together her suspicions grows.

Penelope completely annoyed me beyond all measure. I certainly hope not to see her again.

Lesson From a Younger Lover by Zuri Day 5/5 stars

Lessons From A Younger Lover  Lesson From a Younger Lover by Zuri Day
Drama, Romance, Mischief

Joe, Adam, Ransom. . . could one woman really have three men to choose from?  One shows he is not trust worthy.  One is slimy and self-absorbed.  One is too young, but then again age is only a number.  One heart and soul can be infinitely older.  Gwen goes through it all.

Gwen got herself a lot more than a crash course in the lessons of lust.  She got herself in on the lesson of a lifetime.  Ransom is a very eager teacher and has more lessons to teach the beautiful woman he literally ran into.

You many never truly encounter a younger man of this quality in real life so take the chance a experience him in your fantasies..

White Lines II: Sunny (White Lines #2) by Tracy Brown - 5/5 stars

White Lines II: Sunny: A Novel   White Lines II: Sunny (White Lines #2) by Tracy Brown

Drama and Dilemma is Sunny's ride of life as it takes on many twist and turns.  The one turn she should have avoided became a constant loop over in her life.

I only read White Lines II to get more info on Jada and Born.  I have to say that much of the drama and life that followed this book was captivating.  There are lots of mistakes, lies, deceptions, manipulations, and more of all kinds of drama.

Brown makes her mark and draws it out more.  Caution. . . Don't look for a resolution in this story.

100 down . . . How many more can I do by the EOM

100th book dropped from the TBR Pile

White Lines (White Lines #1) by Tracy Brown - 5/5 stars

White Lines   White Lines (White Lines #1) by Tracy Brown

Jada has a life that is truer than any fiction could make it for her.  This is happening or has happened to thousands of young ladies across the world in so fashion.  To see the life that she had to go through. The struggles. The triumphs.  Her life became real under the words Brown put on the pages.

Born's life was that of a true hustler.  He learned the game very early in life with his very own hero and bad guy.  He learned to make a way for himself and to depend on no one.  Until he took that chance and felt that he was accurate in his belief to trust no one.

Brown did an amazing job bring the life of the game and the hindrances of it to life on these pages.  She put the drama right out there to be read and digested.

99th off TBR Aftermath by Tracy Brown

99th book dropped from the TBR Pile

Aftermath (Snapped #2) by Tracy Brown - 5/5 stars

Aftermath by Tracy Brown   Aftermath (Snapped #2) by Tracy Brown

If drama is what you like or love then you have most certainly hit the spot. Brown's Aftermath has made its mark on the world of drama filled lives.

Aftermath did not let you down from the predecessor, Snapped bk 1 in the Snapped series. This is drama upon drama filled to the ghettofied conclusion to 'Snapped' series. Each have their day in court. Each have to answer questions that they may wish stayed un-asked. Each have to deal with the aftermath of what this past year has set into motion around them and those the love. There are those that begin to understand their lives and the role they play in others' lives.

Brown did a remarkable job in depicting life in each of the four main characters lives.

TBR Pile - Steel's Edge by Ilona Andrews

Off the TBR Pile with 98 . . .

Steel's Edge (The Edge #4) by Ilona Andrews - 5/5 stars

Steel's Edge by Ilona Andrews
Andrews has made a ride for me in the between worlds immensely enjoyable. I was able to ride to battle to avenge the murder of those I love. To rescue a Man in minor distress. To take down a slave trade. To make a little girls dream come true. But what will it all hold for me in the end.

Charlotte and her amazing gift(s) allowed me to experience saving a life and taking one (or hundreds). She could save or take a life with just the simplicity of a desire. She mainly chose to save life. Betrayal and hurt can change a person and not for the best in many cases. She was on a mission to right some wrongs when her world began to change.

Richard has set a grand purpose for his life. The make a world a better place for someone he loves a great deal. This purpose may take his life but not in the way or by the people he expect. It all balances on the 'Edge',

Another amazing journey into the Edge.

Snapped (Snapped #1) by Tracy Brown - 5/5 stars

Snapped   Snapped (Snapped #1) by Tracy Brown

1st read by Brown as it has been on my TBR plie for some time now.  This is one drama filled ride that ends with more drama than it began. Drama in an ultra urban setting that puts one in with various portions of a ghetto fab lifestyle. Its a mix with 'Waiting to Exhale' and 'Romeo Must Die'. Camille, Misa, Dominique, and Toya have lives like no other. If Drama is your thing then you will most certainly love this read.

Book 2 will be a must read to see how things unfold.

A Private Little Affair by Russ Durbin - 3/5 stars

A Private Little Affair    A Private Little Affair by Russ Durbin

This is a first read by this author (Russ Durbin) and it has been on my TBR for over a year.  It is a very quickie read and holds a hit of the forbidden. The relations that may possibly exist between a Professor and one of his pupil's. In short, Betsy's
private little affair is not all that private after all.  Her reverie is returned even if she does not know it.

Durbin is able to hold your attention for the entire span of this short read.  He give you a false sense that something is coming and then the end.

Fear Itself (Fearless Jones #2) by Walter Mosley - 5/5 stars

Fear Itself   Fear Itself (Fearless Jones #2) by Walter Mosley

1st read by Mosely and it was a great ride back to the 50s in America. At least on the west coast of America. I found this to be a fabulous trip back in time. A time with blacks in America had little to nothing. Paris Minton and his road dawg Fearless Jones are in the thick of things right from the beginning. Paris has his honesty to boost his character. His has fears of most things and his short comings give a very realistic view of life in this time period.

Mosely has given me a new world to explore and hopefully come to appreciate a great deal.

A Simple Snowflake Christmas by Rusty Fischer - 3/5 stars

A Simple Snowflake Christmas: A Romantic Christmas Story   A Simple Snowflake Christmas by Rusty Fischer

Is a first read by Fischer, which has been on my TBR for about a year or so.  I find it to be a light hearted love story of hard times and getting to the other side of things. In the end love is what we make of it and how we handle the hard times. These two make that a big statement when they could have pack things up and ran.

Fischer gives a side of love that just simple wont be taken away or discard like so many tangible things.  The writing is simple and to the point. Things are not over complicated.

Continued review from February reads from TBR pile . . .

Anal Bombshell (Anal Adventures of Josh Evans #6) by Aaron Grimes 3/5 stars - Serious grammar issues and wording kinks right from the very beginning. A slutty man with a very HUGE ego. That needs to be stroked.

A Love Secretly by John Rudram 3/5 stars - No real big inspirations but it has some heart. This story could have made a larger impact if more was put into it. If only more was put forth. Creativity is there.

Weekend Warriors (Sisterhood, #1) by Fern Michaels 4/5 stars - I have so found myself a new series to follow. There was no sex, no real romance, but there was something that got me. It was funny and very entertain. I even found some empowerment within. Myra & Charles are a serious piece of work. They are both full of experience and a few secrets. They are a great older couple on a mission to avenge life's wrongs.

Dear John by Nicholas Sparks 4/5 stars - John searches his life and gives a view of what and how he recalls life to have been. The love of his life sends him a Dear John letter and feels the need to do something. He reviews how he met, lost, and long for the love of his life and in the end let's her go. Being in love does not always promise a happy ending. Just a better one.

It's great seeing things from a man's point of view.

Gettin' Buck Wild: Sex Chronicles II by Zane 5/5 stars - SUPER FREEEAKIE!!! If you like that kinda stuff. A bit wild and outlandish. Eyeopener. Mind-blowing. Thought provoking (in a can that be done since, not intellectual). Straight to the point. Real words in real situations (for someone, somewhere). No fuss. No muss. Some good, some great, some not worth mentioning, but overall I enjoyed it.

Desire Unchained (Deomnica #2) by Larissa Ione 5/5 stars - SURPRISE !!! Don't believe everything you hear. Well, in osme cases every thing you feel is not what you think. Runa and Shade's encounter is like a dream to the Runa she was a the time. This chance at passion blooms but of course the unfortunate happens to change her life forever. Shade being a Seminus Demon can fill any and every fantasy or desire Runa could have. Its just one that he is unwilling to fill but unable to stop himself from doing so.

Take this trip on desire and watch how it unchains itself for the better.

Sex, Lies, and Vampires (Dark Ones #3) by Katie MacAlister 4/5 stars - There are points in the dialogue that things sound like a bad 'B' movie. Adrian was sentence to a life long servitude and a very bad reputation. Nell was giving a gift she could not control and had not learned to use, at leas not very well. When one twin is obsessed with the other there are things that the other will do to make the one look really, really bad. Even if it means to sacrifice family.

This 'Dark One' adventure has a trick or two up its sleeve. It still has the wacky dialogue and by plays as the previous additions to the series.

Ana, Do You Hear Me? by Raven McAllan 5/5 stars -  Quickie read - 1st read by McAllan. Opening statement Ana, do you hear me? . . . a woman on the brink of losing her mind has one more sensual imagination of her lover and the love of her life. Sweet. Sensual. Breathtaking.

At Long Last by Elene Sallinger 5/5 stars  - Quickie read- 1st read by Sallinger. She makes second chance at love occur naturally and over similar tragedies in life. A second chance of this nature take time to achieve, but the wait is its own reward. Marianne and Carl had a connection from the very beginning. It went beyond the book club or the illness commonality.

Boogie Wugie by Vanessa Finaughty 4/5 stars - Quickie read- 1st read by Finaughty. Child's play at an game old as time. The boogieman is embedded in all out psyche at some point or another.

A Birthday Wish by Doris O'Connor 4/5 stars - Quickie read - 1st read by O'Connor. sometimes dreams do come true with some variations to the details. Forgiveness is all in the details.

A Day at the Office or The Bastard by Jane Oldaker 4/5 stars - Quickie read - 1st read by Oldaker. No great stretch of the imagination, if you put your mind to thinking. If you take the time to consider the suspense is all in your head.
