Daring Hearts  'Daring Hearts' by

Ellen's Big Day  'Ellen's Big Day' by Ellen certainly had a big night not sure about the big day. Sounded more like a trying one. Joe had me going there for a minute or two. Then he just upped and flipped the script. That's ok because Ellen turned them right back.

Happy New Year  'Happy New Year' by . . . MM-Romance - This seemed to be one hello of a year for these guys. Here's to a better one next time round. At least that is the impression you get with the way they decided to kick it off.

First Taste (Naughty Nooners)  'First Taste (Naughty Nooners)' by . . . FF-Romance - It took then year and a bad marriage to make the reality hit Natalie in the head.

Knocking a few more off the list . . . now at #31

Wicked Intentions (Maiden Lane, #1) by
Double Time (Sinners on Tour, #5) by

Wicked Intentions  'Wicked Intentions (Maiden Lane, #1)' by Wicked Delight to the senses especially after been on the TBR for over a year.  Temperance got an answer to her fondest wish. A way to meet a new patron for her foundling home. Lord Claire is indeed a wicked man with wicked needs and then he meets a woman that inflames those wicked needs with wicked needs of her own. He temps her to do the wicked, to want the wick, and to ultimately enjoy the wicked with him.

One of my very favorite things with Hoyt stories is that she begins each new story with a fable of some sort. It gives an added story that has you seeking to know its outcome just as much as the primary
.

It Happened One Night  'It Happened One Night' by Stephanie Laurens, Mary Balogh, Jacquie D'Alessandro, Candice Hern 5/5 stars . . . This has been on my TBR for a year.  I have wanted to read this since I read 'It Happened One Season' by the same set of authors.  It is pleasant to see the same basic circumstances given and the different spin each author can place on it.

The Fall of Rogue Gerrard (Laurens) The Makepeace's have a closet freak in their midst. It takes a risk operation for her to reveal it.

Spellbound (Balogh) A marriage between classes snatch away.  Only to have the two classes roles reversed by circumstance and misfortune.  With a simple misconception thrown in the mix to make things a little interesting.

Only You (D'Alessandro) Childhood love between classes sparks a haste separation of the love that could not be revealed.  Ten years later a death brings them together again. Will things be different this time?  Will the truth of the past be revealed?

From This Moment On (Hern) A little more for the grown and sexy. This provides love a very much needed second chance and change in circumstances.  Will the choice be made for the right reasons?

Double Time (Sinners on Tour, #5) 'Double Time (Sinners on Tour, #5)' by What can I say.  Trey has been a hot bad boy from book one.  He has depths upon depth and a lifestyle that would send hormones into overload.  Trey Mills meet the perfect pair to set his soul on fire in both aspects of his sexuality but will he need to compromise to meet his needs.

Cunning gave me more than I anticipate on Trey and all that I could have wanted.  Trey to be happy and not neglecting a part of who he is.

First Kiss challenge meet and exceeded in 18 days. . . I must move up but to where and still have a challenge.  Right now I will maintain a decent pace and make changes for challenge later on.

Outlaw Derek by Kay Hooper

Captain's Paradise by Kay Hooper
Savannah's Menage/Men by Lizzie Lynn Lee
Late Night With Elaine by Joe Brewster
Ravished by Joe Brewster
Addison Crouse, MBA by Joe Brewster
The First Taste by Annie McLeod

Outta the Bag by Mary Janice Davidson
Claiming Love #1: The Mistake
Claiming Love #2: The Promotion by Lucia Jordan
Claiming Love #3:  The Good Bye by Lucia Jordan
Claiming Love #4: The Surrender by Lucia Jordan
Playtime by Scarlett Snow
The Sum of All Kisses by Julia Quinn

The Fall of Lucas Kendrick (Hagen Series #5)   'The Fall of Lucas Kendrick' by Kay Hooper . . .4/5 stars having been on my TBR since early 2013 I was not disappointed. Hagen finally gets something right.  Was he really trying to or was it a mistake that turned out right?  I am not real sure on that one yet. Hagen conspire to place Lucas back in the life of a past love to get a job done, but what he has done turns out to be more valued.  This is a confrontation that was much needed for them both.  One thing left me wondering and that is what is/was the Princess' secret/trick.

Hooper makes headway in her Hagen series on to the next in the series.

Unmasking Kelsey   'Unmasking Kelsey' by Kay Hooper . . .5/ 5 stars having been on my TBR since early 2013 I was not disappointed.  Hagen has no clue what he has sent his main man in to.  Kelsey falls hard and fast and in the process had to answer a very difficult question.  A question that is not all that easy to answer in simple terms.  Beth is unsure of who this man is let alone if she can trust him.  I have been waiting on Kelsey's story and now that I have it.  I find it was worth the wait.

Outlaw Derek (Hagen Series #7)   'Outlaw Derek' by Kay Hooper . . .4/5 stars been hang on the list for several months. For some friends are there through all things good or bad.  For others friends are there as long as their own ass is covered.  There is a lot more to our Outlaw Derek than meets the eye.  Shannon has a lot going on in her little world and things just seem to keep getting worse.  All the way to the point she has to decide to leave or stay.  Trust or walk to the other side.  This one has no Hagen and his pain in the ass schemes or half truths.

Shades Of Gray   'Shades of Gray' by Kay Hooper . . .4/5 stars as the other has been on the TBR for months.  Andres finally gets his love on his own turf, but for many different reasons he can't let her go.  Its now time for the truth of things to be laid out and he is having a hard time letting thing out.  Things he has done as  protection has come very very close to taking Sarah's life (twice).  Something seems very wicked about Hagen in this story of the series.  He seems to be plotting something very misgiving in deed.

Captain's Paradise   'Captain's Paradise' by Kay Hooper . . .3/5 stars has been on my TBR for months but brought no real acceptance to the series with the exception of the bad things that Hagen seems to be up to.  I am disappointed in the facts that the guys are not heard from in this one.  The ladies had to take things into there own hands and get the job done.  I am all down for Women's Power. I did not feel the connection between Siran and Robin.  I knew it would be, but I just could not feel it.  The questions this story left me with are "What the hell is Hagen up to and why is he so intent on getting Long and his friends?

Savannah's Men by Lizzie Lynn Lee   'Savannah's Menage/Men' by Lizzie Lynn Lee . . .3/5 stars only on TBR since early summer 2013.  Savannah's got much more than she bargain for on this one particular outing. And I am most certainly not talking about the three very hot Italian panther shifters.  Savannah's past comes back for her in a very big way.

Late Night With Elaine   'Late Night With Elaine' by Joe Brewster . . .4/5 stars TBR list since 2011. First read by Brewster and it was very quick to the point story that had me laughing my ass off in the end.  I was in need of a good laugh. Sorry for the young lady that had to accept the brunt of the pun intended on her.

Ravished   'Ravished' by Joe Brewster . . .4/5 stars TBR list since 2011.  Way to make a man feel like he has no claims in his own domain or to his own wife. This was on the other side of weird fetishes for me.

Addison Crouse, MBA  'Addison Crouse, MBA' by Joe Brewster . . .4/5 stars another on the list since 2011. WTF??????  I was lost before it got started good.  Dude was off on something.  Was he not?  It most certainly was not the city air.

'The First Taste' by Annie McLeod . . . 2/5 stars I obtained this book in October 2013 from Nook and this was a very quick read.  I am honestly not completely sure what I thought by the end of this read.  There was something there but there is more need for development to make it into something more.

Legs   'Legs' by Joe Brewster . . .4/5 stars Legs has been on my TBR since 2011 and it is a tribute to the cougar in most women over 40 and proof older woman are more than their age. I say HELL yeah to this one and it older woman or more refined woman power.

Outta the Bag (Cadence Jones, #0.5)  'Outta the Bag' by Mary Janice Davidson . . .2/5 stars this has been on my TBR since 2010.  First read by Davidson and I was confused as HELL. I have no clue what the hell just happened in what I read.  This is a very quick read and it left me filled with skepticism.   I see why it may have been sitting on my list so long.

The Mistake by Lucia Jordan   'Claiming Love #1: The Mistake'  by Lucia Jordan . . .5/5 stars this one and the others in this series has been on my list all year long.  First read by Jordan and she gave me a very HOT, WET, ELECTRIFYING, and INTOXICATING  ride to the release of one's inhibitions.  That leads to Krista doing something that she has wanted to do for a very long time.  When friends mix alcohol in to things they should wear warning labels to 'stay away until effects wear off'.

The Promotion (Claiming Love #2)  'Claiming Love #2: The Promotion' by Lucia Jordan . . .4/5 stars Krista tries to run to get away from the feelings she has for her best friend.  Feelings he does not reciprocate. Not until it is too late does Danny realize that he is in love with her. Another typical but it is the way the story is told that make the read a good one.

The Goodbye (Claiming Love #3) 'Claiming Love #3:  The Good Bye' by Lucia Jordan . . .3/5 stars Of course Danny panics when he realizes too late that Krista really was going to leave.  Mean can be sooooo stupid, but women will accept that stupid for only so long.  Then the door that is banging them in the face begins to hurt.  The question is with it be too late to recover or will it be right on time.

The Surrender (Claiming Love #4)  'Claiming Love #4: The Surrender' by Lucia Jordan . . .4/5 stars Danny most certainly did not handle things in the brightest of ways.  If you love one woman you don't go out an propose to another and thing neglect to say anything.  This is most certainly the typical boy lose girl, boy get girl back, but its the timing and the way it explodes that makes the read enjoyable (for me).

Playtime   'Playtime' by Scarlett Snow . . .4/5 stars has been on my TBR list since May 2012.  This is also a first read by Snow and with this simple, short, sexy story.  She will get me back for more.  Soren had a need and her husband planned a playtime to fill that need and more.

The Sum of All Kisses (Smythe-Smith Quartet, #3)   'The Sum of All Kisses' by Julia Quinn . . . 4/5 stars has been on my list since before it was released in October 2013.  Lord Hugh Prentice and Lady Sarah Pleinsworth have a serious dislike for each other but put that aside to complete a task given to Sarah by her cousin.  In the process of completing this tasks they form a bond with each other that turns to love.  Before he can make his big move an issues comes up that puts a wrench in his plains and then of course his father becomes an issue.  Sarah shows more than her sunny nature in the end and she gets points across that needed to be laid out long ago.

TBR up to 10 bks in counting . . .

After Party by Vallory Vance
Toasted Coconuts by Rene Rogers
Desert of Desire by Wynter Daniels
On the Wing's of Love by Sienna Mynx

After Party   'After Party' by Vallory Vance this one has been on my TBR list for over a year. . . 4/5 stars -Daniel wanted his wife and he could not understand her reluctance or the dr. instructions.  Which one is all in the male mind? Leslie loves her husband and wanted to send him a message.  She is tired of the gentle.  She wants her husband back in form and she wants it now.  Interesting.

Toasted Coconuts  'Toasted Coconuts' by Rene Rogers has been on my TBR list since early 2013 . . . 4/5 stars -  I enjoyed the island theme.  Patricia takes her life in her own hands after divorce.  She finally do something she has long to do.  After visiting the island once and experiencing no adventure, she takes this opportunity to make the experience one to remember.

Desert of Desire  'Desert of Desire' by Wynter Daniels has been on my TBR list for a long while. . . 5/5 - A desert oasis with qualities of the Garden of Eden with one big difference a very sexy caretaker.  Eve sent to get an interview from this sexy man finds a lot more than a story to boost her career.  Sparks fly immediately but this girl was baffled by what she was experiencing.

On the Wing's of Love  'On the Wing's of Love' by Sienna Mynx has been oon my TBR list for over 2 years. . . 4/5  I am not disappoint on the long wait. An interracial romance set in the 40s.  Can it really have positive results?  This was the main question in my mind as I began to read.  In the end I find it a beautiful story.

6 books down and counting

As of today, my TBR pile is down by 6 books and counting:

Practice Makes Perfect by Miss Janelly 1/5 stars- 7 january 2014
Mr. Fix It by Satin 3/5 starts - 7 january 2014
Rainy Day Surprise by Vallory Vance 4/5 stars - 8 january 2014
Resurrection by Celeste Anwar 4/5 stars - 8 january 2014
Paid to Play by Roxanne Sweet 4/5 stars - 8 january 2014
Shamelessly Taken by Mel Blue 5/5 stars - 8 january 2014

Reviews to follow . . .

Practice Makes Perfect by Miss Janelly . . .There were too many errors in grammar, misspellings, and word order. You every felt like you read a sentence wrong. Well, that was more than 60% of the book.

Mr. Fix It by Satin . . .1st read by Satin, this was passable but it made the heroine seem more like a hoe trying for a fix.  Somewhere in there a romance came about in the end

Rainy Day Surprise by Vallory Vance . . .1st read by this author and I wanted more of Kevin and Amber.  This was really quick read. Simple yet intriguing.

Resurrection by Celeste Anwar . . .1st reads by this author and I must say 'Fantasy Island' watch out for the fantasy club. Fantasies provided in the night and may end with more than one bargains for. Quick, yet satisfying.

Paid to Play by Roxanne Sweet . . . 1st read by Sweet, I find it interesting the fact she is searching Craigslist.  Her Craigslist encounters makes one wonder if she will be satisfied with just one.

Shamelessly Taken by Mel Blue . . .1st read by Blue and I thoroughly enjoyed this New Year's eve celebration.  The New Year provides one the hope for a future and a chance to make up for the past.  The other little snippets provided make me want to venture further into the 'Den of Sin'.
